How can I find out what's new in version 2 of the version 6.5 ISOs? (I saw the version 2 torrent posted on LinuxTracker.org)

(Disclaimer - I only understand "en-us".)

Hi,

It's just the same old thing, but based on CentOS 6.5, so pretty much the RedHat release notes for RHEL apply.

Are the Stella 6.5 versions here http://mirrors.coreix.net/li.nux.ro/ISO/ live CDs? Thanks.

Thank you. I booted up in less than 5 min! My main concern is that you package Firefox 24 with this distro. The enable/disable Javascript box formerly available in Firefox has been removed. That to me is a serious security concern as I've seen a number of previous posts on the web when Mozilla was about to do it. It appears they ignored the suggestions of their own programmers!

Though Mozilla has retained private browsing mode and non-tracking, that is simply not good enough for me. If I want more security and the ability to turn off annoying ads by disabling Javascript, then I want to be able to do that. Thankfully that option is still available in Seamonkey.

I am currently using Linux Mint 13 and Firefox 11.0. What other browsers are available for Stella 6.5 that have an enable/disable Javascript box? Thanks again for this fine distro which I believe is preferable over CentOS 6.5 because of all the nice, extra features you've added, especially the extra repositories. Keep up the good work.

Hello,

I'm not packing Firefox, 24.2.0 is what RHEL currently includes, I'm just following upstream (CentOS).
Regarding your issues with the javascript, I fully understand your concerns, I too am getting quite worried sometimes because of it.
I'm currently using NoScript extension as well as Disconnect, I recommend them wholeheartedly.
