When I tried out Stella a year ago I had no trouble installing the Xiphos Bible program. I tried again this week and it is now missing the editor program, libgtkhtml-editor-3.14.so.0. I've done extensive searches on the web and have not been able to find the needed program, including all of Fedora's databases. There must have been a change of some kind in the past year. Having available, installed Bible programs is my first criteria for using a certain distro. There are no problems like this with DEB based distros. Thanks for your help.

Hello,

Seems like the latest updates in RHEL/CentOS negatively affected this software. The problem is not really big and can probably solved by simply rebuilding the package.
The right thing to do to get this fixed and help other Xiphos users is to open a bug upstream with https://bugzilla.redhat.com/ for the Xiphos EPEL package, shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes of your time.

The workaround is quick and simple:
1. Install the required dependencies
yum install sword gtkhtml3

2. Fix the missing .so file (assuming 64bit architecture)
ln -s /usr/lib64/libgtkhtml-editor-3.14.so.0.0.0 /usr/lib64/libgtkhtml-editor.so.0

3. Install Xiphos manually
wget http://mirrors.coreix.net/fedora-epel/6/x86_64/xiphos-3.1.5-1.el6.x86_64.rpm
rpm -ivh xiphos-3.1.5-1.el6.x86_64.rpm --nodeps

That's it, after this Xiphos should work normally.

Someone already submitted a new bug request here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1035142. I will give your workaround a shot and let you know how I make out. Thanks!
