Partly to try to upgrade a centOS install to a Stella by changing the repos, as was suggested to me.

Can some of you tell me or show me exactly what your repo lists look like? Thank you, Steve

p.s. I set notifications to tell me when replies came to me, but in my other post, this did not happen.

I don't think you need one ... I have a Stella box installed 6.1-RC and since then I've only updated , no new repolist needed.
Now, if Nux decide to change something in the repository structure this will be new for me too Very Happy

I'm sorry, I did not express myself correctly. If you look at my other post, you'll see maybe my problem.

Let me try again. Stipulate arguendo I do not have ANY repository list, I have not installed Stella yet, and for whatever reason--does not matter--I want to see someone's repository list or lists. Will anyone show me? Or is there somewhere I can see it WITHOUT installing first?

Thank you, again, my apologies for being unclear.

So if you have installed CentOS but want an experience similar to Stella you need the following repos:

EPEL (lots of stuff, nux-dextop depends on it) - http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/i386/epel-relea se-6-5.noarch.rpm
nux-dextop (lots of stuff, especially desktop stuff) - http://li.nux.ro/download/nux/dextop/el6/x86_64/nux-dextop-r elease-0-2.el6.nux.noarch.rpm
adobe (for flash) - http://linuxdownload.adobe.com/adobe-release/adobe-release-i 386-1.0-1.noarch.rpm
elrepo (for nvidia and ati drivers etc) - http://mirrors.coreix.net/elrepo/elrepo/el6/x86_64/RPMS/elre po-release-6-5.el6.elrepo.noarch.rpm

Once you have done this, feel free to add stuff, e.g.:

yum install vlc smplayer shutter flash-plugin kmod-nvidia

Thank you thank you thank you. I do intend to purchase and install Stella from disc (I have dial up service, so can't download huge iso.s, etc), but I thought I might experiment by changing CentOS repos first. This is what I need. I appreciate the information so much. -- Steve

Steve,

You now have 99.9% Stella, all you're missing is some artwork and keyboard shortcuts, not worth downloading or purchasing.

Well, thank you one more time. This has been incredibly helpful, I am already a huge fan of Stella. See you guys in future forums. Steve
