Stella is great! It would be a nice to touch to add a repository with an updated firefox (or at least have it as an option). I know I can add it my self after the fact but it would make things much easier and more usable.

Edit:oops didn't see the repo/package message

Hi,

Yes, I've been thinking about Firefox and in the end I decided I don't want to end up overwriting too much of the core. And I think Redhat will update the stock soon anyway.
Unlike LibreOffice, Firefox is really really easy to install: just download a small archive, extract, run I should make a "howto" of how to do it, for the "dummies".

ct1969,

I don't have anything against Remi (though lots of people do), but as far as I know RH is preparing to upgrade FF and Thunderbird, you will probably get some conflicts when that happens. That's why I recommend using the binaries from mozilla.com ..

Thanks.

As I were saying Redhat just rolled in Firefox & Thunderbird v10 to EL6.. Your Remi packages will probably conflict now.
It's obviously the ESR edition: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/

(also the new FF conflicts with gxine, EPEL will need to solve this).
