Is this plain Gnome 3 or Classic?

This is not the Classic layout, so you're probably running the vanilla Gnome 3.

I like having parcellite in the notification area like that. Which extension does that?

Might be this (it's what I'm using in G3)

It`s Gnome Classic and not Gnome 3.

The extensions apps-menu , window-list and places-menu are disabled.
Installed extensions: custom-clock , dash to dock , quit button , recent items , taskbar , topicons

and so working makes fun. Smile

@ detipco
Thank you for that list.

@ Nux
OK
This is gettin' good. Installed topicons from your link. Had to install the 'browser plugin' first.

Vanilla Gnome 3

Thanks Cool

@ nux

Sorry. Crying or Very Sad
People may call it like they want. It`s all Gnome 3, only the extensions will make the difference. Smile

Indeed, it only takes a handful of extensions to transform Gnome3 into "Classic". Smile

So... I'm still hoping to see Stella 7.0. I'm running a mix of Centos 7.0 and Sprindale Linux 7.0 on all machines but this one, which is still on Stella 6.5, but not for much longer.

Stella 7 might happen, but I'm waiting for things to settle down a bit, bugs be fixed etc. I'll probably base it off 7.1.

Hi detipco, can I ask you how do you set the classic Shell theme (the grey one) outside of the classic session?

Thanks!!!

Oh I see. But on my system, I cannot disable the extensions that are enable by default in the classic session, like window list, launch new instance etc. they are grayed out in Tweak Tool... How do you disable them?

Thank you very much!

As root got to usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions. You can switch them off (don`t delete them) by renaming with #....., after Alt/F2 and typing restart they are gone.

Good luck
