I want to install google-chrome on my Stela 6.5-32bit and i downloaded it on my Desktop and run to install it.
But it stop and inform me that : "requires libstdc++.so.6(GLIBCXX_3.4.15)".
What can I do in order to install it?
I mention that it's first time when I use Stella,so i'm uninitiated in Stella/CentOS commands for terminal.
Thanks in advance

Hello,

First of all, it's good to go for 64bit where possible.
Second, Google has decided to stop supporting (RH)EL 6 so it's very tricky to get it working. There are some hacks[1] on the Internet, but they're just that - hacks, and not sure for how long they will keep working.

hmmmm so you make me pick the "bad" or either the "worse", I don't play this game , just recall that xullruner support for 64 bit don't exist....so the future is either
32 bit crap either one of the monopolistic crap... I must decide witch one I hate more M$, apple, or google, because AFIC xullruner don't exist till they
won't be back into the evolution, I guess 32 bit should be dropped for good ,the world is more than ready for >= 64 bit instruction CPU...
So since the only OSS extremist ,here is YOU, Very Happy ,I'll just pick one of those: opera, chrome, chromium ,or firefox when they will decide to support
the development for >= 64 bit .
Just a thought m8, otter-browser is coming up just fine, so for me this is the future, Is too bad that on EL6.5 you have a very old qt5 Sad
otherwise I would build it for stella also... Qt5/webkit great engine, great GUI, enough saying...
I almost done Ro local in otter, eng and ita are 100%...so if you want to give a hand with Ro, to a 100% OSS
alternative: https://www.transifex.com/organization/otter-browser/dashboa rd/all_projects/ro/

Firefox is not crap, some versions were but that's in the past.
Xulrunner is available for 64bit, not sure what you are talking about.

Thanks for letting me know about otter-browser, I'm really disappointed with the middle finger Opera is showing us lately, perhaps this new browser will be a worthy replacement. Not crazy about yet another Webkit browser though. Can you pack something up for CentOS 7? Smile
