Hi!
liveusb-creator for unknown reasons is missing in EPEL-7. Maybe, You will put it into nux-dextop? Unetbootin cannot do the same things with RH images correctly.

Hi,

I have added it, but found it non-functional as it requires udisks to operate, while udisks2 is included in Base and is obsoleting udisks.
We need to wait until they port it to udisks2.

BTW, for me dd-ing the iso onto a usb stick has worked great. Have you tried that?

Hi!
udisks is present together with udisks2 in fedora rawhide and fc19 for now. It's strange, that el7 obsoletes udisks and fedora does not...

dd-ing is great thing, but when it is 32 GB drive with other useful info, it would like to save this info when writing 2 GB iso or even 200 M netinstall to this drive Smile

RH command-line tool livecd-iso-to-disk seems to work well.

Yes, the udisks upgrade in EL7 messes up quite a few things.

I'm glad livecd-iso-to-disk does it for you.

I've backported udisks as oldudisks and rebuilt liveusb-creator to Require that, it should work now.
If you could actually test it, that'd be great.

Hi,
It seems, that liveusb-creator works (tested with Stella iso & 16 GB FAT32 USB stick).
But when creating overlay it twice reports strange error "ascii".

Hi,

Can you post an exact copy of the error or perhaps a screenshot?

So, in the end did it complete successfully despite the errors?

It prints twice in main program window "ERROR: ascii". I will be able to make screenshot in the evening or tomorrow.
The resulting flash drive boots despite errors.

I have found at fedora forum
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=266629

But the path to image did not contain non-ascii symbols Smile

I'll try with "LANG=C liveusb-creator" and tell what happened...

updated 16:48 GMT:
with LANG=C all works OK.
But directories with Russian names are not shown at all... however, it does not matter, because the tool does not work with non-ascii names

as a workaround LANG=C can be added into liveusb-creator.desktop

I need to test and see if this will happen also with Latin encodings. Thanks for catching this, though.

Hi, Nux! Yesterday packages in EPEL-6 & Fedora 21 have been updated to new version. The "ERROR:ascii" bug is gone. Also new feature to make live usb with dd command has been added.
