Hi,
the printer is working well, but the scanner is working with simple-scan only as root. All packages are installed from here http://www.canon.de/support/consumer_products/products/fax__ multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_mx_series/pixma_mx725.aspx

Unfortunately there are no libsane.rules in CentOS 7.
Is it possible to get the scanner working as regular user?
Can`t find anything about it.

Solved

First time after installing it`s not possible to scan as regular user.
After scanning as root only one time, afterwards it works as regular user.
It`s a bit confusing, but now I am able to scan as regular user. Very Happy

btw, I`ve forgotten to mention, that scangearmp works without sane. deb based distros don`t maintain sane with Canon scanners. CentOS does it well.
