I used nux-dextop as the additional repo for CentOS 6.3 and installed the texstudio. However, texstudio can not work. All repos I used are CentOS default repos, Google-Chrome repo, epel repo and nux-dextop repo. Is it possible to make it work with CentOS 6.3? Thanks.

Hi,

You seem to have hit a bug related to LD, for some reasons the Qt libs are not properly loaded.
When launched from console Texstudio gives this error:
texstudio
texstudio: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libQtScript.so.4: undefined symbol: _ZN14QObjectPrivate15checkWindowRoleEv

Try to remove /etc/ld.so.cache and launch the program again:

rm /etc/ld.so.cache

Jbq,

Do you by any chance hav phantomjs installed? I've learned the the LD conf file that package installs can cause this kind of troubles.
If you do not have it installed then kindly list and show us the contents of /etc/ld.so.conf.d/

ls /etc/ld.so.conf.d/

Both me and symbianflo managed to repeat this test; phantomjs package breaks Qt in LD. I have removed phantomjs from my repo temporarily and will try to find a solution.

Let me know if removing this package also fixes your problem.

Thanks a lot, all of you. Yes, I have package "phantomjs" installed because I want to use acetoneiso too. The error message is "texstudio: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libQtScript.so.4: undefined symbol: _ZN14QObjectPrivate15checkWindowRoleEv" as Nux mentioned. However, I did not try the solution Nux provided yet because all of these happened on my remote machines and I turned these machines off earlier. I will report back.

I have removed the phantomjs package from the main repo for now and we'll try to fix it. I'll update this forum post when it's done.
