I like Stella OS because it is based on CENTOS & it is made for desktop users. But I want some packages which must be preinstalled in the OS so that whenever I install this OS on some other system, then I wont have to download each & every package i.e. I can install this OS offline.

So, I want some softwares like vlc media player, RDP software, chromium browser, download manager, etc must be preinstalled with this OS. How can I customize Stella iso which must already contain above softwares when I install this OS?

Thanks

Smile Under the Howto's/Tips/Tricks section of the forum, there is a post
entitled "Remastering Stella 6.3 with livecd-tools(livecd-creator)",
dated 20 Jan. 2013, which will walk you through the customization
process.

In that reference, it was reported that the rpmbuild process for
constructing binary rpm's wouldn't work. I've subsequently learned
that the two-step approach, "Install the SRPM and then Build from
the Specfile" is required. These details are covered in the article,
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/RebuildSRPM.

There is a link to NUX's latest kickstart file in the livecd-creator
problem report under this section of the forum roughly 2 weeks ago.
It should be used as the basis for any new customization.
